The smell of cannabis is unmistakable and, for the most part, welcoming, comforting and relaxing. However, there are some situations when smelling like the loud isn’t such a great thing. These five tips will help eliminate or mask the smell of weed until you’re ready to smoke again. Of course, simple additional tricks like washing your hands or using hand sanitizer are a must after you smoke a joint or a blunt.
1. Spray the smell away
Find a scent that you like that is stronger than weed. Don’t totally douse yourself in it, however, as this can be a giveaway too.
2. Brush your teeth
Clean more than your teeth for maximum results. Scrub your tongue and the roof of your mouth, too. Also, chewing gum can also help mask the smell of bud.
3. Get in the shower
Taking a shower has a couple of wins. First, it can have a psychological effect if you’re feeling a bit too high and help make you feel more in control. It also offers a more natural clean smell instead of overpowering fragrance.
4. Put on fresh clothes
Smoke particles cling to the fibers of your clothes so you’ll waft around smelling like smoke and weed if you keep the same clothes on your were smoking in. Put on freshly laundered clean clothes.
5. Walk it off
Getting outside and airing yourself out is a highly effective way to get rid of the smell of smoke. Go for a walk around the block, it’ll make you feel good, too.
